RSUBEB Communications Port Harcourt

The Rivers State Universal Basic Education Board (RSUBEB) continues to push forward with its vision for quality basic education across all local government areas in the state.

In a recent progress report, RSUBEB Chairman Dr. Smith Oshi highlighted several key achievements in the ongoing education reform agenda. These include the renovation of over 500 primary schools, the distribution of learning materials to more than 100,000 students, and the training of 3,000 teachers in modern pedagogical techniques.

"We are committed to ensuring that every child in Rivers State has access to quality education, regardless of their location or background," Dr. Oshi stated. "Our model school initiative is just one aspect of our comprehensive approach to transforming basic education."

The board has also introduced digital learning tools in pilot schools across the state, with plans to expand the program to all local government areas by the end of the year. This initiative aims to bridge the digital divide and prepare students for the demands of the 21st century.

RSUBEB has partnered with international organizations to provide technical support and capacity building for education professionals in the state. These partnerships have resulted in improved teaching standards and better learning outcomes for students.

The board has called on stakeholders, including parents, community leaders, and the private sector, to support the education reform agenda through active participation and investment.
